Clock is referred to as the bell, all timing device can be called a timing instruments. Clocks in modern Chinese general has two meanings, the general term for all types of clocks and watches one, the other one is specifically refers to larger tables, esp pendulum clock mechanical structure. Watches can also be regarded as a bell, but generally refers to the larger bell is not often you can carry.
